Our services do not include: bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, audit representation, legal advice, or ongoing tax planning unless separately contracted.
Client Responsibilities
As a client, you are responsible for:
Providing complete and accurate information necessary to prepare your returns
Reporting all income including cash, digital payments, cryptocurrency, and third-party platforms
Maintaining and retaining all original records and documentation for at least 7 years
Reviewing your completed return carefully before signing and authorizing submission
Notifying us immediately of any IRS or state correspondence received
Ensuring the accuracy of all information submitted through intake forms and portal uploads
⚠️ You affirm that all information provided is true, correct, and complete to the best of your knowledge. Providing false information may result in penalties and criminal prosecution.
Fees & Payment
Fees are based on the complexity of your return and services provided, not on refund amount
Payment is due when your return is ready for filing unless other arrangements are made in writing
Refund transfer or bank product fees (if used) are separate and disclosed before filing
Some services may require upfront deposits (prior year returns, business returns, or balance due situations)
Unpaid balances may result in withholding of return authorization or completed documents
✓ Fees are never contingent on the amount of your refund or any specific tax outcome.
Refund & Outcome Responsibility
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER:
We are not responsible for IRS or state delays, refund offsets, or processing issues
Refund amounts, eligibility for credits, and acceptance of returns are determined solely by tax authorities
No outcomes are guaranteed — we cannot guarantee acceptance, refund amounts, or processing timeframes
We are not liable for errors caused by incomplete or inaccurate information you provide
IRS may audit, adjust, or reject returns based on their review — this is beyond our control
Confidentiality & Record Retention
All information provided is confidential and protected under federal and state privacy laws. We use secure systems for data transmission and storage.
Record Retention: We retain copies of your tax returns and relevant documentation for three (3) years. You are responsible for keeping original records and documents for at least seven (7) years as required by IRS guidelines.
Termination of Services
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You will be responsible for fees incurred up to the date of termination. If you terminate after your return is prepared but before filing, you are still responsible for preparation fees.
Authorization & E-File Consent
By submitting your intake form and signing your tax return, you authorize us to:
Prepare and electronically file your federal and state tax returns
Communicate with tax authorities on your behalf regarding return processing
Access prior-year return transcripts if needed for current year preparation
Portal Access & Security
Your client portal access code is confidential and should not be shared. You are responsible for all activity conducted under your access code. Sessions automatically expire after periods of inactivity for security purposes.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the fees paid for our services. We are not liable for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages. Our responsibility is limited to the preparation and filing of your return based on the information you provide.
By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and our tax preparation service.
